The last weeks have been busy working on my lute repair<\/a>, although I did manage to do some work on the “reclaimed materials guitars<\/a>” with my apprentice Lucas. The lute is nearing completion, and I am sure its owner can’t wait to have it back to play on it. Since I replaced its top entirely, I am very anxious to hear its sound. This instrument will carry my tonal signature, which is something not so common with repairs. And because I never heard the instrument played with its original top, I can’t wait to hear what the owner thinks.<\/p>\n

I also ended up changing a few things here on the website, namely the slide show in the header and a music player with clips from music played on my instruments. It currently starts playing automatically, about which I have mixed feelings. I like the feature, but when I already listen to music I find it a bit annoying when a browser starts music automatically. Your opinion would be greatly appreciated, since I can change this setting easily.<\/p>\n
