News from the workbench

After exhibiting the Cigar Box Guitar and the Baglama in Montpellier last October, I am back in the workshop working on the Storyteller Guitar Project and an overhaul of the Fusion Guitar. I am accepting repairs at the time, but there is a bit of a wait list. I hope that my brand new apprentice will continue to learn basic repair work, so that I can dedicate my time towards the repair procedures that require more experience.

Since the beginning of 2014 I also expanded my workshop, and now offer lutherie instruction for groups.  We currently have two groups going strong, and potentially a third group starting up in fall. Check out www.guitarmakingschool.ca for more information.

Repairs and Restorations:

For inquiries about instrument repairs, please contact me via phone or email. Assessments are free of charge, and best performed in the workshop so that I can see the instrument up close and use my tools to ascertain its condition. For reference, feel free to check out my restoration of a  Martin 00-18, and other restoration projects such as a  lute top replacement and neck reset, a bridge reglue on a Martin D-28 and  a Washburn Mandolin overhaul.
